Hi there, it’s Fifi. For #tourtipstuesday , I am proud to introduce our event team of the welcome center. We host campus events for all schools around @thenewschool such as #openhouses , info session, #peacecorps mixer, conference, etc. We provide the best food, drinks, and catering services for students and parents. Even during quarantine, we’re still busy with hosting tasteful visual events like #icecream party with @museumoficecream and @houseofyesnyc. On Tuesday, Letetra Widman, the sister of Jacob Blake, who was shot in the back by police, gave a powerful speech and said, “I’m not sad. I’m not sorry. I’m angry. And I’m tired.”, “I have been watching police murder people that look like me for years.”, “I don’t want your pity. I want change.”


I feel strongly about injustice and unfairness, which has driven me into journalism and creative works. But personally, growing up in the millennial generation, as an Asian person, and being a part of New York City, I feel I have an obligation to speak up and act out for #BLM . It is a global issue that affects everyone. It requires each one of us to acknowledge, self educate, tell the stories, call for justice, give credit to #blackcultrue , support #blacktranslivesmatter , #blackcommunity , #blackbusiness , and be tireless till the changes are made.
